Changing old habits

At age 13 I changed the way I write the number 7.
At 17 I changed the way I tie my shoes.
At 19 I changed my signature.
At 22 I changed my laugh.
Today I am changing from two spaces between sentences (after the period) to one. It should only take a few months this time. Wish me luck.

17, really? That seems younger than I would've expected, maybe.

I don't think I knew offhand that you'd changed your signature. I should just standardize mine. :/

Luck, dear. Does this mean I get to snark at you if I catch you messing up?

I have to say - that is a habit I want to break and have still yet to master. Two spaces between sentences is really no longer necessary IMO, but that is how I learned to type and my thumb just goes space bar happy.

The only reason there ever was two spaces was because typewriters have monospaced letters. No one who works in typesetting ever uses two spaces ever--with the exeption of colons, some people like the extra space, but we don't do it where I work. With digital typesetting, two spaces are even less necessary.
