The revolver example does not really work since the one case produces an outcome regardless of intent that is different. This is why attempted murder and murder are different crimes. You could change the game to some form punching game where everyone gets one punch and they all agree upfront and one guy then decides he did not like the outcome and presses assault charges. That is a better mirror.
