I am probably going to buy a scooter soon. I am looking for something <=50cc, seating for a passenger, preferably 4-stroke. Can anyone recommend a reputable dealer, or point me in the direction of someone with a used scooter for sale?

Atlanta Scooter down Ponce is supposed to be good.

With the new two stroke, you don't have to mix gas and oil because they have oil injection, so they're easier to use than the four stroke. Also, for equal engine displacement, a two stroke will make more power than a four stroke.

I can't remember the location or name of the scooter store I dropped by recently, but if I find the booklet I brought home from there, I'll let you know. It was a very nice store and the staff was great.

Interesting news, I had not kept up with two stroke technology... Is the new design still significantly louder than the equivalent 4 stroke? I was willing to give up the additional power in favor of less noise because of the hassle of dealing with the gas, but if that's gone then it changes the balance of factors.

I'm honestly not sure about the current volume of scooter-noise (that's what we in the business of not being sure what scooter-noise is called call it...) compared to what it may have been at one time. That's probably a question better suited for whichever dealer you choose.
